SARAH Rose
Dancing Artist & Choreographer
Performances sponsored by Sarah Hyman

Sarah Rose has been dancing since she could first walk, and probably even earlier than that. Originally from the Boston area, she trained at A Dancer's Dream in Marblehead, MA and supplemented that training with summer intensives and classes at the Jeannette Neill Dance Studio and the Boston Ballet. Rose rediscovered her passion for dance while pursuing a certificate in dance at Princeton University (class of 2014) under the direction of Susan Marshall. While at Princeton she had the opportunity to dance in a diverse set of repertory [Susan Marshall, Rebecca Lazier, Bill T. Jones, Trisha Brown,  Adam Barruch, Zvi Gotheiner, Merce Cunningham, Doug Varone, and Kyle Abraham] and work with many of today's preeminent choreographers and dancers in pursuing both technique and composition. She is passionate about an anatomical approach to movement and is continuously exploring the possibilities of her own physical form through her continued training in NYC. Rose joined Asterial Dance in the fall of 2014.
